Representing Kootenai county – the 55th Light Foot Battalion is a proactive, community-based readiness organization dedicated to serving Kootenai County and the broader Northern Idaho region. Our mission encompasses a wide array of essential services aimed at enhancing local emergency preparedness and response capabilities. We focus on supporting Communications, Medical Preparedness, Sustainment, and Field Operations, all in service of creating a safer and more resilient community that is well-equipped to handle various challenges and emergencies.
